Maybe anxiety keeps you up at night. Perhaps you struggle with flashbacks, memories, or continue to relive distressing experiences. As a mental health and substance abuse therapist, I have extensive experience helping people struggling with complex trauma and PTSD overcome symptoms that hold them back. You are not the sum total of negative experiences in your life - you are so much more. And, you deserve to live life with less anger, worry, depression, and frustration.
Many clients that I work with have been from the military community, whether they themselves have served in the military or have loved ones who've served. I understand the unique culture, opportunities, and hardships that often come from serving in the military. This experience has also given me the honor of holding space for people who have had their life uprooted, experienced sudden changes that have rocked their world, or have had to continue moving through life carrying grief.
I primarily work with a person-centered approach, and CBT focused techniques. We'll build rapport, explore all factors of your life including the painful moments and hardships, as well as the resources and strengths you've developed. Then, we'll chart a customized treatment plan to help you.
I'd like to offer a safe space to lighten the load, and begin to process what you've endured. Overtime I believe relief is possible, new habits and changes can improve your wellbeing, and you can move forward less burdened and more alive.
