As an EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant, Robin possess extensive training and experience in supporting clients who have endured single traumatic events, experienced abusive relationships, or suffered through abusive childhoods.

As a trauma therapist, Robin's primary objective is to assist her clients in releasing the emotional distress and shame that may have persisted for a lifetime. She considers her role as a facilitator and helps clients recognize their inherent internal fortitude. Robin believes the skills clients have developed to cope and survive are valuable reminders of their inner strength even when these have become feelings, habits, or tendencies that are ready to be shed. Robin helps client's reimagine their own bright future starting with the choice to come to therapy. Robin feels it is an extraordinary privilege to witness a client’ embarking on the deep work of change and is honored to walk alongside their transformative path.

An initial session with Robin will include a comprehensive psychosocial assessment helps clarify the root causes of the client’s issues. It also highlights strengths they might not have noticed on their own. Psychological tests help spot symptoms that the client might not have recognized, leading to a more accurate diagnosis. When a new client comes in for the first time, assessment and testing help build a complete picture of the client’s condition, but facilitate a deeper understanding of the client with an aim to foster trust.

Shedding the burden of the past and building new skills, attitudes, and outlook for the future happens in safe, brave spaces. Robin's expertise, experience, and warm manner builds a clinically strong and emotionally gentle container for profound healing.
